In a remarkable step toward cultural preservation, Rajkumar Sahu has taken the lead in reviving and reshaping the traditional folk theatre form known as Budhasamria Ghoda Nach. His dedicated initiative aims not just to conserve, but to reinvigorate this vibrant expression of Budhasambar culture for future generations.
Historically, forms of Ghoda Nach existed in the region, but they were often scattered, informal, and lacked a defined structure. Recognizing this, Rajkumar Sahu, a passionate playwright and cultural practitioner, has reimagined Budhasamria Ghoda Nach as a multi-dimensional folk theatre experience, deeply rooted in the legends, mythology, and spirit of Budhasambar.
This innovative presentation blends three key elements: Dramatic Storytelling – Based on the rich legends and folk tales of Budhasambar.Energetic Ghoda Nach Dance – Reflecting the vigor, valor, and rhythm of rural life.The Rhythmic Soul of Gandabaja Music – Adding emotional depth and authenticity to the performance.This initiative goes far beyond entertainment—it is a celebration of identity, memory, and the cultural fabric of Budhasambar.
